The Cotton Boll Grill, located in the heart of Shreveport, LA, serves as a true American diner with a home-cooked feel. Its menu is packed with hearty options like the 11 oz house-made smothered hamburger steak and the famed chicken-fried steak. Guests rave about the generous portions, as Sharon Miller notes that she and her family could have easily shared a meal and left fully satisfied. The crispy bacon, perfectly cooked sunny-side-up eggs, and delightful pancakes are highlighted for their quality and flavor, while the attentive service draws praise from many patrons. Tina Dayton succinctly captures the essence of The Cotton Boll Grill by emphasizing its friendly staff and comforting, nostalgic atmosphere. This diner feels like a cherished community hub, where the owners foster a welcoming vibe and the cooks deliver consistently satisfying meals. John echoes this sentiment and suggests that the BLT is a must-try, citing the place's low-key charm. For those seeking a unique twist, the Cajun brunch specials offer an exciting exploration of local flavors, as highlighted by Cecil Miller's experience with Cajun benedicts and beignets. Despite minor critiques about parking and dish execution, the overall consensus is clear: The Cotton Boll Grill embodies the spirit of Southern dining with its delicious offerings and warm atmosphere, making it a beloved staple in the community.

Driving through town we stopped off for a a quick breakfast. The food was all delicious. My husband and I could have easily shared a meal and left for 20. Instead I ordered everything on the menu with the kids. Everyone left here feeling completely full and satisfied. All the food was amazing. Chicken fried sandwich was huge portion and the fries were on point. The eggs sunny side up were some of the best ever. Grits, we couldn’t get enough of them, fabulous and not lumpy. I ordered side of biscuits and gravy. Once again great! The bacon was crispy and perfect. The pancakes were absolutely fantastic! Coffee was hot and refilled often. Great service. The waitress was attentive and helped us select our food. We came at 9 am and were able to have the chicken sandwich for one kid and breakfast for the rest of us. Highly recommend!

Always amazing some of the best bacon in town if you get the BLT it's one of my favorites and overall really anything you get there is just wonderful. Great atmosphere. True Southern American diner. The staff is amazing! The owners are amazing. The cooks are spot on every time and the price is just right. If you want a low-key, community atmosphere that literally everyone in town visits, this is the place to go.

Ah, this local classic diner has been a mainstay for, idk, before I was a person. It's vintage. The prices are very affordable. It's changed owners a few times. They go. The diner stays. I hope when the state building moves it's operations downtown, the cotton bowl survives. The place is small, but this place loves our city. Historic photos adorn the walls. But nobody would return if the food wasn't good. Let me tell you now - it is. Today, a Saturday, we came to try the new Cajun brunch special. Had to start with beignets(why do piles of powdered sugar always make my nose tingle?) One of us had a two egg traditional breakfast and she raved about it. Two of us had Cajun benedicts. An open English muffin, down home smoked sausage two poached eggs(just slightly over poached - but oh well) crawfish e'ttouffe'e topped with shredded cheddar cheese. There was a side of roasted potatoes. This was a somewhat unique combination. Perhaps an offering of classic eggs Benedict might be a great addition. Hollandaise is not that difficult to make. Just a suggestion. We've already planned our next trip - and what we'll try next. Four and a half, leaning to five stars.

Friendly staff, food is cooked in front of you if you sit on the diner bar. Taste was excellent. Older building with great atmosphere. Highly recommend this place, we were there for breakfast.

It's a cute small diner. We all ordered the Monte Cristo. This was my 1st time having that. It was crispy on the outside and covered in powdered sugar.

Stopped in for a Friday afternoon lunch. A friend that works across the street recommended it, and it certainly was a treat. Chicken fried steak sandwich was perfect, hot and fresh with excellent service. I'd definitely visit again when in town. Very nice cafe atmosphere and I like the old throwback decor.
